ETHNODATA, founded in 1981, is a member of the National Bank of Greece Group (NBG Group), the oldest and largest commercial banking Group in Greece, listed in ASE since 1980 and NYSE since 1999. NBG Group has strong presence in Southeastern Europe and subsidiaries in 12 countries. ETHNODATA is a well established company, operating in the field of Information Technology Systems for the last 30 years, offering innovative IT products, solutions and services through the strategic engagement and deployment of highly committed and talented human resources associated with state-of-the-art technologies. In late November 2011 the merger of ETHNODATA, through absorption of its subsidiary ETHNOPLAN, created an enhanced information technology integrator as “The Technology Partner of Choice” of NBG Group, dedicated to the provision of high quality implementation, support and management of information technology systems and solutions services to the NBG Group.

Since 2000, ETHNOPLAN was the entity serving the NBG Group with consulting services for all SAP applications and solutions in Greece and abroad as well as Core Banking Solutions & Services (System T24 – Temenos).

The merger of the two highly complementary organizations will generate synergies at all levels and create value through significant economies of scale, increased productivity and the capitalization of existing expertise in various technologies.

Technology innovation is the key factor of the Company’s strategy to drive the business forward for the benefit of the NBG Group. In this context and with a sense of responsibility, ETHNODATA invests in R&D for the development of its own products and solutions, while building successful business relationships with international strategic partners in the field, such as SAP AG, ÔEMENOS, CA, Redwood Corp., TIBCO Software Inc êáé LEMON WAY among others.

Furthermore, the NBG SAP Competence Center established in 2000 by ETHNOPLAN, is certified by SAP AG as a “SAP Customer Center of Expertise” for the number and range of the supported systems and services provided, such as implementation of best practices, maintenance and operational support services.
